First-quarter summary: Packers 0, Lions 0

Greg Jennings was open deep down the field but inexplicably mishandled the ball and tipped it to Amari Spievey for an interception. On an earlier possession, the Packers were in Lions' territory when tight end Andrew Quarless fumbled. The Packers had just one turnover in their previous five games, but coughed the ball up twice in the first quarter. Otherwise, the Packers' offense sputtered, picking up zero first downs. The Lions rushed 15 times for 72 yards in the first quarter, with six different players getting carries. But their best scoring threat ended when Tramon Williams intercepted Drew Stanton in the end zone. Each team had four offensive possessions, and the teams combined for five punts.
