Some diehards give Packers chance to win

Every member of the Press-Gazette prediction panel tabbed the Patriots to win tonight's game over the Packers, with the closest margin of victory being 13 points. No one on Pro Football Weekly's nine-man panel picked the Packers either. The latest odds show the Patriots as two-touchdown favorites. All of which suggests an easy Patriots' victory, according to the so-called experts. But not so fast. There are some diehard fans out there who think the Packers will make a game of it. Here's a sampling of comments from PackersNews.com readers: Kenbobb: Press-Gazette writers are cowards or don't know their football. They're dumbing it up like they did before the Jets game. Packers have had a full week to practice with Flynn, who does not suck. And guess what? Patriots have ZERO effective tape to watch on Flynn. Their defense is already suspect, and they have very little to prepare with. Without a brute front four like Detroit had (and the bumbling help of our O-line, which picked a hellishly bad day to slack off), we will be able to create a run threat against the Patriots. Not a huge one, but one that they ignore at their peril. One expects our O-line enters this game with a chip on their shoulder. This game will come down to a couple big plays--turnovers or touchdowns. Expect to bite your nails until the very end. Kman1: Flynn keeps the Pack offense on the field enough to score 23 points and helps keep our defense fresh to allow only 21 points. Say what you will, but I remain optimistic. PJS123: Anything can happen on any given Sunday in the NFL. No one expects Matt Flynn or the Packers to do well so there is no pressure other than the pressure each player puts on himself. We've seen NE collapse before so it can happen again. Packers 24, Patriots 21. Kidbroge: Capers prepares his defense better than anyone and the injuries prove it. (The Packers will) be more more motivated. We need this win more than they do plus we are a good road team. New England a'int all that, a letdown is quite possible. No one has rolled on us this year, no one. Their offense may be good but their defense can be had. Flynn will not get rattled. If we keep it close we have a shot. This game will (decided) on defense. When the irresistible  force meets the immovable object whose gonna blink? We'll see.
