The Packers opened the fourth quarter with a first and goal at the Patriots' 2, but John Kuhn gained 1 yard in two carries and Matt Flynn was forced to throw away a pass on third down, which set up Mason Crosby's 19-yard field goal for a 27-21 Packers lead. The Patriots responded by driving 53 yards for a 38-yard field goal to pull within 27-24 with 11:05 remaining. After the Packers went three and out, Tom Brady directed a 63-yard touchdown drive for the winning points. Brady hit Aaron Hernandez on a 6-yard touchdown strike with 7:14 left. The Packers had two more possessions. On the first they were forced to punt after being stopped at the Patriots' 40. On their final drive of the game, Flynn drove the team to the New England 15 but the Packers ran out of time. On fourth and 1 at the 15 Flynn was sacked and fumbled. The Patriots recovered to end the game.
