Four Green Bay Packers players -- linebacker Clay Matthews, cornerback Charles Woodson, guard Josh Sitton and tackle Chad Clifton -- were the top vote-getters at their positions in fan voting for the NFC Pro Bowl team, the NFL announced today. Aaron Rodgers was third in the NFC voting at quarterback, trailing the Philadelphia Eagles' Michael Vick and the New Orleans Saints' Drew Brees. Rodgers received 900,544 votes to 1,522,437 for Vick and 971.731 for Brees. Even so, Rodgers received the seventh-most votes among all players. New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was the top vote-getter with 1,877,079 votes, followed by Vick, Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning, San Diego Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers, Brees, Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson and Rodgers. Matthews received 466,501 votes, Woodson 394,330 votes, Sitton 214,013 votes and Clifton 173,797 votes. Fan voting, which ended Monday, makes up a third of Pro Bowl voting. Players and coaches are voting this week. The Pro Bowl players are chosen by consensus of all three voting groups. The 43-man NFC and AFC teams will be announced at 6 p.m. Tuesday on the NFL Network. The 2011 Pro Bowl will be played at 6 p.m. on Jan. 30 at Aloha Stadium in Hawaii and will be aired live on Fox. -- Press-Gazette
