Morning roundup: Packers working on stopping Peterson

Jan. 2, 2013

The Packers' priority this week is figuring out a way to slow down Minnesota halfback Adrian Peterson, who has rushed for 409 yards in two games against them this season.

As Pete Dougherty reports, the Packers are adjusting their game plan and looking to improve their tackling so Peterson doesn't beat them for the second straight week, this time in a wild-card playoff game: http://tinyurl.com/axoonpp

The Packers are getting back Charles Woodson this week after he missed nine games because of a broken collarbone. But whether he'll play only safety or still move up to some slot cornerback remains to be seen: http://tinyurl.com/b28vw3c

Randall Cobb returned to practice this week after missing last week because of a sprained ankle, but the Packers had two other receivers miss practice, as noted in the lead item of Rob Demovsky's Packers notebook: http://tinyurl.com/al93xqu
