Jennings: It'll be all business on return to Lambeau

Mar. 19, 2013

Greg Jennings isnít feeling nostalgic about returning to Lambeau Field this season as a member of the Minnesota Vikings.

Jennings has been doing the interview rounds since signing with the Vikings in free agency over the weekend.

Today on ESPNís "NFL Live," the former Green Bay Packers receiver said that after making the business decision to leave the Packers after seven seasons, his trip to Lambeau this season will be all business also.

ďThereís really no big expectations but just to get a win,Ē Jennings said. ďThatís going to be the goal every week, week in and week out, to come out on top, come out victorious. That will be no different when we go back to Lambeau.

"Obviously thereís some ties with that organization of which Iím very appreciative, those memories will always stick. But it was time for me to move on. Itís a business. Fans may not understand that, but thatís the approach the Packers were taking and the approach I have to take as a player.Ē

Jennings was asked again about his soliciting Brett Favreís opinions about the Vikings Ė the talked and traded texts while Jennings was weighing offers from the Vikings and Packers. He said he trusted Favre for an honest assessment of his experience with the organization.

ďIím not going to say he helped me (decide), but he gave me insight on his experience over at the Vikings organization, with that team,Ē Jennings said. ďBasically I knew he was a guy I could call and he would should me straight. He would give the pros, the cons, and he wouldnít sugarcoat anything, and heíd tell me exactly what I wanted to hear and maybe what I didnít want to hear. Thatís exactly what he did.Ē
