When Tom Crabtree departed in free agency last month, it robbed the Green Bay Packers of their most proven option as a blocking tight end.
The Packers added a viable candidate in the competition to replace Crabtree in fifth-year veteran Matthew Mulligan, who agreed to a one-year contract on Sunday, agent Kristen Kuliga confirmed.
After deciding not to offer a restricted tender to Crabtree last month, the Packers failed to outbid the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for his services when he hit the open market. ...
