36 days to go ...
Here they are, the weekly set of mock drafts for you to ... mock. (We get it, we get it, Ted Thompson won't draft based on need. Don't blame us if many of the national folks don't buy it.)
With the 30th overall seletion, the Green Bay Packers select ...
* Antoine Cason, CB, Arizona. All three of CBSSports.com's mock drafts have him as the Packers' pick. One of them, The Sports Xchange's Rob Rang, writes, "With starters Al Harris (33) and Charles Woodson (31) aging and a lack of quality depth behind them, a physical, reliable cornerback like Cason makes a great deal of sense at the end of the first round."
* Brandon Flowers, CB, Virginia Tech. ESPN's Matt Mosley writes, "If Kenny Phillips slips this far, the Packers will take him. Flowers will give the team added depth at a position where they're not getting any younger."
* Keith Rivers, LB, Southern California. NFL.com's Vic Carucci writes, "The Packers are likely to use this pick to address the team's future rather than trying to fill an immediate need. They could easily go with an offensive tackle a good one happens to fall this far, but they would have a very hard time passing up on the best linebacker in the draft."
