Rodgers fires agent

A source confirmed for the Press-Gazette on Friday afternoon that quarterback Aaron Rodgers has fired agent Mike Sullivan.

ProFootballTalk.com first reported the parting Fiday and said Sullivan received the termination letter Tuesday. NFL Players Association rules mandate Rodgers must wait five days from the termination before he can hire a new agent.

what has rodgers done except be drafted and do his job? i can't figure out for the life of me why people are directing ANY hostility towards him

I wish the Favre fans would go away and leave these sites to the Packer fans.

My friend and I were talking about the team last night and he kept getting all pissed at Rodgers, saying him getting hurt would serve him right. Thats all misdirected anger. Be pissed at the GM, and possibly the coach and president, but if you are a true fan of the TEAM, support the players that are there. Rodgers didn’t stick the knife in Favre’s back, Thompson did. Though Rodgers was probably secretly cheering him on.

so, Rodgers is the new savior and he feels he is too good for his agent. Fires him. Is he gonna go after Bus Cook now and see what kind of sweet deal he can get?

I mean come on! After all, he's the Man in Green Bay now. Should be making more money, right? All the new found fame is going right to his head. And all of you guys think he is such a classy guy. Primadonna is more like it.

yea, right. Three QB's in Green Bay. ZERO starts between them.

Gonna be a banner year!

oh no now he wants a raise / before his year is up /

By Anonymous 88rock, At August 8, 2008 7:36 PM

Just an FYI, A-Rod never asked the Pack for a raise and doesn't need to wait for an agent to do that. i am guessing he fired his agent because his agent hasn't secured him any advertising deals in the area except for a few low dollar deals even though he's been "the man" since March.
As for "assnonymous" who is the typical fair weather fan lately, get a life and start folowing the Jets, the rest of us REAL Packer fans don't have time for your dumb AZZ. some of us were fans in the 70's and 80's when the Pack REALLY sucked but they were and still are OUR team and those of us that are LOYAL fans are willing to atleast give Rodgers a chance. Thompson sucks for what he did, but Brett has some faults as well and even he admitted it....so get over it and buy your Jets jersey and get off our blog spots!

P.S. Rick B-Awesome Post!

Just because Rodgers was declared the man in March does not mean Nike is going to come knocking on his door! He must actually start a game and prove his is capable of something other than telling fans to shut-up and whine about little kids telling him he sucks.

Just keep up the trashing of Rodgers. His contract is up after this season, and I'd bet you any amount he will split GB. And who could blame him after all of this insanity? First there's the whole Favre thing, then on top of that he has gotten zero support from the Packers Nation.

I predict he's going to have a very solid year, silence his critics, and then go play somewhere else where he'll be at least appreciated if not shown some real respect. Maybe end the Bears' search for an answer to their QB problem. Wait and see.

FYI

He and Ted are soul mates through the 2009 season. But by then he will be such a failure no one will want him to be a starter and he will be the bench warmer. That is if he only has season ending injuries and not a career ending one.

Brett Favre the hardcore player ceased to exist years ago. This is Now Brett Favre Inc. and an ego that thinks he is bigger than even the league. Not a a fan of Brett Favre Inc. Packers will go 12-4 this year, Rogers will throw less than half the picks Favre will. Jets won't even sniff the playoff's. Pansy a$$ injury? what planet are you from Bozo. Rogers played an entire quarter on a broken foot. And just a factuial refresher course for you genius, Favre was absolutely horrible in both Bear games, he was an absolute embarassment in Dallas, and blew off three open recievers and threw into coverage for the pick in the Giants game. 6 picks in the Rams playoff game, loss to the Vikings in the playoff's in Lambeau, loss to Atlanta in the playoffs in Lambeau.Went on Great Van Susterens show (Greta Van? what is this the third grade) and divulged private conversations throwing his friends under the bus. This diva gives a team 0% chance of a Super Bowl. Thank God Ted Thompson kicked this rubes a$$ back to Mississippi along with his intelectually deficient posse. 30 picks are coming in New York. How you going to handle that one you stupid Favre clown.

What's the over/under on Rodgers' interceptions tonight? I'm guessing after the second one, he'll be instructed to hand the ball off on every play, and then management will say something positive about his mindset crossing the Rubicon.
