It took more than a month to diagnose, but Greg Jennings finally has gained some clarity as to why his nagging groin injury has yet to heal.
During a second-opinion consultation with Philadelphia-based specialist Dr. William Meyers on Wednesday, the Green Bay Packers' seventh-year wide receiver was diagnosed with a rectus abdominal tear, an injury he'll undergo surgery for Tuesday.
Jennings said the surgery would not be season-ending, but didn't offer a timetable for a possible return. It typically sidelines professional athletes anywhere from three to six weeks. ...
