Much like Randall Cobb didn't want to be labeled as a slot receiver when he came into the NFL in 2011, Casey Hayward wants to be known as more than a slot cornerback.
Yet that was his one and only job in the Green Bay Packers' loss to the New York Giants last Sunday.
After starting the previous four games at right cornerback, Hayward was relegated to a part-time role, playing only 21 snaps (or 32 percent of the defensive plays) as the nickel cornerback, a position that typically covers the inside receiver. ...
