Notebook: Thin at DL, Packers add bulk with Miller

Maybe defensive tackle Jordan Miller knew a promotion was in the works last week.

Miller (6-1, 317 pounds) was signed off the Packers' practice squad to the active roster on Tuesday, but defensive line coach Mike Trgovac might have dropped a hint last Friday.

"I had a long talk with him (Friday) about making sure he's not in practice-squad mode - that he's learning the defenses," said Trgovac. "Some guys get on the practice squad and they sit there and watch everything but they don't hear and listen to everything. I like Jordan Miller as a football player.
