    Complaints cap Oconto mayor's turbulent first year

    When Victoria Bostedt jumped from her bleacher seat to loudly complain about a rough play during a high school basketball game in Suring four months ago, she set into motion a series of events that capped a tumultuous first year as Oconto's mayor.

    Looking back

    Oconto native and OHS grad, Dr. Mel Lightner, will become the superintendent of the Pulaski School District, on July 1. He resigned several weeks ago as Kimberly School administrator. Mel also was one of three finalists for the vacated Marinette School Board superintendent post, but withdrew his name for consideration after accepting the Pulaski offer.
