Editor's Note: Changes to date of Nelson's visit as a result of new information.

Three hours into her 6 p.m. shift at Briq's Soft Serve on Merrill Avenue Monday night, shift leader Emily Ellenbecker noticed a customer who resembled Packers wide receiver Jordy Nelson.

"I was like, 'Oh, that guy kind of looks like him. That's cool.'"

Ellenbecker said when she mentioned it to her co-worker, Noah Fredel, he assured her it was Nelson.

"I got super excited," Ellenbecker said. "I was shocked when it happened. He was a really nice guy."

Ellenbecker said Nelson was passing through Wausau after a fishing trip, and was joined with a few friends Ellenbecker said she didn't recognize. Nelson took some photos with employees that were working that night, and then went on his way.

Ellenbecker said she was told that she could not reveal the details of Nelson's order.
