The Wisconsin Rapids Parks Department will have the ice skating ponds at Witter Field and Robinson Park open to the public beginning Wednesday.

Weather permitting, the warming house at Witter Field will be open 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on school weekdays and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, according to a news release from the city's Parks Department. The public may skate during open park hours, but the warming house will be open and an attendant on duty only during the listed times.

There is a low board hockey pond at Robinson Park, but no warming house is available at the location. The city does not allow hockey sticks or pucks at Witter Field. For more information, call the Recreation Office at 715-421-8240.
