? At 9:31 a.m. Monday, the Wisconsin Rapids Fire Department responded to a report of smoke in a basement in the 2800 block of Gaynor Avenue. The smoke was caused by a washing machine motor.

? At 11:39 a.m. Monday, a Wisconsin Rapids woman reported she was concerned about window peeping because she found footprints in her yard in the 1700 block of Smith Street. The prints weren't human.

? At 2:41 p.m. Monday, an officer arrested a man on a warrant during a traffic stop in the 1600 block of Lincoln Street.

? At 2:13 p.m. Monday, a Port Edwards man reported someone stole a purse from the 200 block of First Street North.

? At 5:35 p.m. Monday, a Wisconsin Rapids woman reported a vehicle pulled up to a house in the 400 block of 11th Street South and then two people got out and ran away.

? At 5:40 p.m. Monday, a Wisconsin Rapids man reported his uncle threatened to smash gravestones on a family plot at Forest Hill Cemetery, 631 Spring St.

? At 6:10 p.m. Monday, officers arrested a man on a warrant during a traffic stop near the intersection of 17th and Chestnut streets.

? At 11:37 p.m. Monday, an anonymous caller reported possible underage drinking and knives in the 1500 block of First Street North. The caller later reported children's screams coming from the residence. The family was having a New Year's Eve party, and the call was unfounded.

? At 11:52 p.m. Monday, an officer arrested a man for drunken driving in the 1800 block of 16th Street South.

? At 2:38 a.m. Tuesday, a woman reported five men assaulted her in the 100 block of Second Street North.

? At 1:29 p.m. Monday, a Grand Rapids woman reported someone took a center cap and bolts from a vehicle tire in the 1000 block of Griffith Avenue, Grand Rapids.
