Officials expect the recent snowfall - more than 5 inches fell in the Wisconsin Rapids area Wednesday - coupled with falling temperatures will continue to cause problems for drivers and road crews today.

Numerous vehicles slid off local roads Wednesday, said Kelly Zenz, Wood County Dispatch manager.

One of the worst incidents of the day involved a milk truck that left the road on Highway A in Richfield, Wood County Sheriff's Department Lt. Shawn Becker said. The truck contained 50,000 pounds of milk that had to be unloaded before a tow truck could remove the vehicle from the ditch, he said. By 4 ...
