Tuesday's police logs: Caller reports food missing from freezer

Note: Law enforcement officials responded to 15 reports of vehicles in the ditch from Monday to Tuesday morning. Authorities would like to remind drivers to be alert for changing road conditions, allow enough time to reach destinations and slow down when driving on snow or ice.

Wisconsin Rapids

? At 7:16 a.m. Monday, an officer arrested a woman on a warrant in the 3400 block of Second Street South.

? At 11:07 am. Monday, a caller reported a man and woman were walking around, begging in the 1100 block of 16th Street North.

? At 1:38 p.m. Monday, a Wisconsin Rapids woman reported credit card fraud.

? At 2:57 p.m. Monday, an officer arrested a man on a warrant in the 1100 block of Baker Street.

? At 3:05 p.m. Monday, a caller reported a two-vehicle crash near the intersection of First Street and Daly Avenue.

? At 3:19 p.m. Monday, a Wisconsin Rapids woman reported someone stole food from her freezer in the 600 block of 11th Street South.

? At 5:18 p.m. Monday, a caller reported a vehicle went into a snowbank in the 200 block of Eighth Street North.

? At 6:46 p.m. Monday, a caller reported seeing smoke and hearing sizzling noises coming from a manhole cover near the intersection of West Grand Avenue and Jackson Street. Water Works and Lighting Commission personnel shut off the power to the street lights.

? At 9:18 p.m. Monday, a caller reported a water main break near the intersection of West Grand Avenue and the Riverview Expressway. It was a small leak from a water valve.

? At 11:01 p.m. Monday, officers arrested a woman after a caller reported she hit a 10-year-old boy.

? At 12:44 a.m. Tuesday, a Wisconsin Rapids woman reported someone trying to get into her home in the 100 block of Pepper Street but said she only saw a shadow. Officers found no tracks in the snow around the house.

Wood County

? At 9:46 a.m. Monday, a Wood County Parks Department employee reported someone stole a ramp from a snowmobile trailer from Powers Bluff Park and Winter Recreation Area, 6990 Bluff Drive, Arpin.

? At 9:52 a.m. Monday, a Nekoosa woman reported she started receiving applications for loans and grants after she used a neighbor's computer to complete a Social Security benefit process.

? At 4:33 p.m. Monday, an officer reported someone had stolen money from the 1400 block of 45th Street South.

? At 6:15 p.m. Monday, a Saratoga man reported a hit-and-run crash in the 3700 block of Highway 73 South, Saratoga.

? At 6:28 p.m. Monday, an employee at the South Wood County YMCA, 211 Wisconsin River Drive, Port Edwards, reported someone damaging property.

? At 12:27 a.m. Tuesday, a deputy arrested a woman on a warrant during a traffic stop near the intersection of Eighth Street and East Grand Avenue.

? At 1:56 a.m. Tuesday, a caller reported a fight in the 600 block of Market Street. The people causing the disturbance were gone before the officer arrived on scene.
