The Wisconsin Rapids City Council will consider approving an ordinance Tuesday that would set term limits and residency requirements for the Water Works and Lighting Commission.
Council members agreed to the changes in principle last month, but the proposal had to come back in the form of a draft ordinance. The changes include instituting a two-term limit for each of the five members of the commission that oversees the city's electric and water utility, as well as requiring panel members to live within city limits.
