THOMSON, Georgia (AP) - Five people were killed and two injured after a small jet ran off the end of a runway and crashed at an airport in the U.S. state of Georgia, officials said.

The jet carrying seven people crashed Wednesday night, Thomson-McDuffie County Sheriff Logan Marshall said. Logan said the two survivors were taken to area hospitals, and their conditions were not known.
