Wednesday police log: Counterfeit bills reported at two stores

? At 7:20 a.m. Tuesday, a Wisconsin Rapids woman reported someone stole a stereo system from a vehicle in the 1100 block of High Street.

? At 9:12 a.m. Tuesday, a Wisconsin Rapids man reported a theft from his checking account.

? At 10:50 a.m. Tuesday, a caller reported a possible traffic crash near the intersection of 10th Avenue North and West Grand Avenue.

? At 12:24 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported a traffic crash in the 1800 block of 16th Street South.

? At 12:55 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported a dog had been in a vacant house in the 700 block of 10th Street North for more than a week.

? At 1:49 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported a man assaulted a woman in a vehicle and then jumped out.

? At 2:28 p.m. Tuesday, a Wisconsin Rapids woman reported her mother was cashing the caller's checks. An officer determined the accusation was unfounded.

? At 3:28 p.m. Tuesday, an employee at Check Advance, 929 Huntington Ave., reported counterfeit bills.

? At 5:29 p.m. Tuesday, a Wisconsin Rapids man reported fraudulent charges on his credit card.

? At 10:19 p.m. Tuesday, an officer arrested a woman during a traffic stop near the intersection of Eighth Street South and Sweat Avenue.

? At 10:57 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported a teenager smashed a window on a vehicle in the 3500 block of Eighth Street South. An officer determined the person who broke the window was the owner.

? At 1:44 a.m. Wednesday, an officer arrested a man after a woman reported he assaulted another man in the 500 block of 12th Avenue North.

? At 9:04 p.m. Tuesday, an employee at The Store, 4010 80th St. S., Grand Rapids, reported a counterfeit bill.

? At 11:23 a.m. Tuesday, a Nekoosa woman reported she was informed her taxes had been filed by someone else.

? At 2:44 p.m. Tuesday, a Pittsville officer investigated a theft at the Pittsville High School, 5407 First Ave., Pittsville.

? At 4:49 p.m. Tuesday, a Saratoga woman reported receiving threatening phone calls.

? At 6:29 p.m. Tuesday, a Grand Rapids woman reported she had a bat in her house and no one to call to help get it out.
