Eagle river report:

Turkey season is just around the corner in the Eagle River area, and huntersare gearing up for the season. Until recently, turkeys were very rare in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. But they have been aggressively expanding their range north, and the DNR has made permits available for the last few years in the Eagle River area.

The Eagle River area is in Zone 7, and last year had a 16% success rate. There are six, 7 day seasons. The first one starts April 10, and the last one end May 21. Drawing for applications were done in February. If you drew a permit, you should have ...
