On Saturday, April 13 from 5:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m., the International Crane Foundation (ICF) will sponsor the 38th Annual Midwest Crane Count, one of the largest citizen-based wildlife surveys in the world. People are invited to join over 3,000 volunteer participants spread over 100 counties in six states.

New volunteers interested in taking part should first contact their local county coordinator. Potential Marathon County volunteers are invited to a training, at which they can choose a count site, today at 6:30 p.m. at 212 River Drive, Wausau.
