Friday's police log: Man released from jail finds home burglarized

? At 10:53 a.m. Thursday, a Boulder Junction man reported a woman screaming and swearing at him while he was at a Wisconsin Rapids job site.

? At 12:06 p.m. Thursday, an employee at Copps, 900 E. Riverview Expressway, reported a shoplifter.

? At 1:14 p.m. Thursday, a Wisconsin Rapids man reported he had just gotten out of jail and found someone had burglarized his apartment in the 800 block of Fremont Street.

? At 1:57 p.m. Thursday, a Wisconsin Rapids woman reported receiving a scam call from someone who had her Social Security number, home address and place of employment.

? At 3:32 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported a person throwing chunks of ice into the road near the intersection of Sixth Street South and Dewey Street. The person was trying to unclog the sewer drain.

? At 4:03 p.m. Thursday, a Nekoosa woman reported a man stole cellphones from the 2300 block of Second Avenue South and threw one at a vehicle window, breaking the window.

? At 11:34 p.m. Monday, a Wisconsin Rapids man reported someone slashed tires and keyed a vehicle in the 1300 block of 21st Avenue South.

Wood County

? At 7:53 a.m. Thursday, an Armenia woman called complaining her nose hurt. The woman turned out to be a man wanted on a Juneau County warrant.

? At 2:26 p.m. Thursday, an employee at Solarus reported someone stole a heater from near the intersection of First Street and Vilas Avenue, Nekoosa.

? At 6:24 p.m. Thursday, a Rudolph woman reported a man patrolling the area of a home he was removed from on Wednesday.
