Outside it may not look like spring but many animals know what time of year it is. Even with snow still falling out of the sky, many of our local wildlife species have increased their activity responding to the longer days and already have babies. There may still be snow on the ground but there are many baby squirrels and owlets in the trees, bunnies in the bushes and fawns in the fields.

And as the temperatures start to warm, which we all hope will be soon, more and more people will begin to explore the great outdoors. So when you do get outside, the Northwoods Wildlife Center staff would like to remind ...
