The Department of Natural Resources shot and killed a bear last weekend after it destroyed a donkey on a hobby farm in the Town of Maine.

The hobby farmer called the Outagamie County Sheriff's Department on April 19. The farmer thought his peacock was killed by a bear the previous night, said Mike Young, a conservation warden. The peacock was later found alive, but the farmer's donkey was found dead in an enclosure, Young said.
