Series of fishing clinics for kids planned this summer

Greg Karch has scheduled a series of fishing clinics for kids around Wisconsin.

Schedule:

May 11 - Lil Angler Fishing Event, Kaukauna
Fishing Seminar will be held at 9 a.m. at 1000 Islands and will be followed by family fishing. Registration is required.

May 16 - Maplewood Middle School, Menasha
Fishing Seminar along with education stations. Event will be from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Registration is required.

May 20 - Kaukauna Cub Scouts, Kaukauna
Fishing Basics seminar at 6:30 p.m. at 1000 Island Environmental Center followed by fishing.

June 1 - Yahara Family Fishing Day in Warner Park, Madison
Fishing Basics at 10 a.m. at the event. During the fishing portion of the event Karch will help familes with casting and taking fish off. This is Wisconsin's Free Fishing Day.

June 1 - Hunt'n and Fishing Kids Devil's Lake State Park, Baraboo
Fishing Basics at 1 p.m. and then work with kids on casting. After casting I will work with kids and families on fishing. This is Wisconsin's Free Fishing Day.

July 9-11 - Farm Technology Days, Dallas, Barron County
Fishing Basics seminar on July 9 at 11:30 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. on the Youth Main Stage. Karch will host a booth where he will instruct youth on casting at Lake Karch. The fish will be biting as Karch will be using Backyard Bass and will have plenty of fish to be caught. Fish identification and Clean, Drain and Dry message will be taught. 4H volunteers will help in the booth.

July 20 - High Cliff State Park, Sherwood
Fishing Basics at 1 p.m. After the seminar we will have family fishing time where I will work with the families.

August 4 - Bago Walleye Club, Oshkosh
Fishing seminar prior to weigh-in at Menominee Park at 2:30 p.m.
