Decommissioning of nuclear plant a long process

CARLTON, Wis. (AP) - The Kewaunee nuclear power plant may have been disconnected from the power grid, but the process to decommission the facility will take a long time.

Kewaunee County economic developers want to know when the 900-acre site will be ready for redevelopment. But the plant's owner, Dominion Resources says that won't happen until decommissioning is complete. And that could take six decades.
