A Berlin man accused of telling a young girl that allowing him to take nude photographs of her would help with her modeling career is now facing criminal charges.
Kenneth J. Hoffman, 46, of Berlin, was charged in Green Lake County Circuit Court Tuesday with trafficking of a child, threats to injure or accuse of a crime and child enticement. If convicted, he faces 71 years in prison and $210,000 in fines.
According to the criminal complaint, Hoffman persuaded the girl to pose naked for two "photo shoots" on May 2 to advance her modeling career and required a third session in order for her to obtain the photos. Hoffman also gave the girl the option of having sexual intercourse in order to get the photos.
Hoffman set up the meetings via Facebook, using the alias Blaine Roberts.
Hoffman was arrested May 3 at a residence in the 400 block of Monroe Street in Berlin.
He was released from custody Thursday after posting $200,000 cash bond.
The Berlin Police Department is asking the public to help identify any additional victims. Those with information about similar incidents with Hoffman or who have been requested to engage in similar photo shoots should contact Capt. Kevin Block, (920) 361-2121.
