Motorists who travel south on Eighth Street South in Wisconsin Rapids should expect traffic to be reduced to one lane starting Wednesday, the city Engineering Department announced Monday.

The work will require a lane closure on south bound lanes on Eighth Street South, from Pepper Avenue to Huntington Avenue, according to a memorandum from City Engineer Dave Laspa. Officials expect crews to complete the project by Friday.

Advanced Concrete and Excavating will replace curb and gutter as part of the construction of a CVS Pharmacy at the intersection of Eighth Street and Pepper Avenue, according to the notice.
