Ever since she was a child, visits to Wisconsin state parks have been the centerpiece of Jeanne Walters' summer.

"I've visited every single one of them and each holds a special memory for me," the Fond du Lac woman said. "My photo album is filled with photos of learning how to fish and swim with my siblings, my husband and I honeymooning as newlyweds, and later vacations with our own family - all at our wonderful state parks."

Many local residents like Walters' have also discovered the gems hidden within the State Park System that offer visitors a unique blend of the Wisconsin's natural history. ...
