More and higher-quality shooting opportunities for the public are expected thanks to a state cost-share grant program for public and private shooting ranges announced this week by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.

DNR Secretary Cathy Stepp says the department is offering $325,000 during the coming two years to private range operators as cost share to fund facilities improvements and development.
