FBI to assist with bank robbery

Armed suspect still loose Wednesday evening

Federal authorities and central Wisconsin police are searching for an armed man accused of holding up a bank in southern Adams County on Wednesday.

At about 9:20 a.m. Wednesday, employees at Grand Marsh State Bank, 643 Highway E, New Chester, reported that they had been robbed, Adams County Sheriff Sam Wollen said. A man entered the bank, showed a handgun to a teller and left with an undisclosed amount of money in a small blue duffel bag, Wollen said. He then stole a bank employee's vehicle and left, traveling southeast from Grand Marsh.
