147 Wis. Army National Guard soldiers back in US

PRAIRIE DU CHIEN, Wis. (AP) - Nearly 150 Wisconsin soldiers are back on U.S. soil after serving nine months in Afghanistan.

The soldiers are members of the Wisconsin Army National Guard's 229th Engineer Company. The unit is based in Prairie Du Chien.

They arrived in Fort Bliss, Texas, on Sunday. They're going through the demobilization process, and they're expected to be back in Wisconsin in the next few weeks. ...
