More stable weather with clear skies and lots of sun has made for improved fishing success in the last week.

The most consistent action has been for bass, as both largemouth and smallmouth are starting to settle into their normal summer patterns. Largemouth have been migrating toward thick overhead cover and becoming more apt to be 'homebodies' - holding near one piece of cover for extended periods of time. Frogs hopped over weed beds have still produced some nice catches, but soft plastics and jig/craw combinations have seen increased success when worked slowly in the thicker cover.
