Group takes disabled anglers fishing on Lake Michigan

Challenge The Outdoors organized 24 people to fish for King Salmon on Monday, July 1. The disabled anglers boarded six boats at the Algoma Marina at 4 a.m. and four boats at Sea Gull Marina at 4:30 a.m. With a clear sky and small waves, the group headed out for a morning of fishing.

Just a few moments after all the lines were down, there was a strike and our first fish was caught. The first one in the group's cooler was a rainbow trout. The group then waited for two hours as lures and depth were adjusted in an effort to find the elusive fish.

Finally, there was another strike and soon another rod has a fish on. ...
