On August 14, wolves killed a hound in Douglas County during bear training for the dog.

A caution area has been created around the depredation site. Sixteen dogs have been killed by wolves this year and hunters are reminded to use caution while training and hunting with bear dogs.

You can find the map and other information on the dog depredation web page or by going to the DNR website (dnr.wi.gov) and typing keyword "wolf".
