Johnson votes against Syria strike as Senate panel passes authorization measure

Wisconsin Republican Sen. Ron Johnson on Wednesday voted against authorizing U.S. military strikes in Syria, but the resolution still passed the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and now heads to the full Senate for a vote.

Johnson said in an interview after the vote that he still had too many unanswered questions to support the measure. He said he and other senators were not given adequate time to debate it, the American people don't support it, and Obama administration officials haven't sold Johnson on it.
