The cool but pleasant late summer weather that has prevailed across northern Wisconsin has made for some good fishing conditions, but just mediocre success.

Musky continue to provide the most consistent action and most musky anglers have been reporting a lot of follows and sightings, with quite a few hook-ups and catches as well. The early morning and late afternoon hours have produced the best action, and the preferred lures have been bucktails, jerk baits and topwaters fished over the weed bed and near the deep weed edges.
