Group chases rainbow trout at Wilderness Springs

Challenge the Outdoors had 45 disabled members and family helpers drive to Wilderness Springs in New London on Saturday, September 14, for a rainbow trout fishing event.

Wilderness Springs offered two ponds of nice-sized trout for the group. Each angler had a limit of three lively trout. When the sun wasn't shining too bright on the water, the participants could see the trout at the bottom of the pond. The fish were skittish though and would not take the bait right away.

After handing in the fish to be cleaned and packed on ice in a plastic bag, the group headed to a picnic area for lunch. Each ...
