Eagle River area:

The whitetails in the Eagle River area are starting to move out of their summertime patterns. This means that bucks are splitting off from other bucks, becoming more independent and nocturnal. Hunters are mostly seeing does and fawns, which are still together. The acorns in the forest are getting hard to find, as deer, turkeys, squirrels and lots of other critters are using them as a food source. But if you can still find some acorns, it would be a good place to hunt.
