Blogger Len Harris closes out his trout season

Sep. 30, 2013

It is the end of small stream trout season for me.

I cleaned out the SUV and added my big lakes spinning rod/reel and sized up my spinners. I will have to wait a while before they come in, my buddy from Milwaukee tells me.

I will just have to bide my time catching pike at the dam in Gays Mills. The walk to the shore for pike fishing is much closer and my knee and back deserve a rest.

I have an MRI scheduled for this Thursday and a meeting with a back surgeon one week later. It looks like back surgery is happening this winter.
