A nine-day deer hunting season for disabled hunters began on Saturday, Oct. 5. Challenge The Outdoors, Inc. opened the weekend with a meeting on safety, a discussion on where each person was to hunt and who was to be their helper along with other information on the hunt. After the meeting, a hot brunch was set out for the group by volunteers Karen and Rita.
The day started out raining and when the group was ready to head to the assigned areas, it rained even harder. About the time that the groups reached their blinds, it rained even harder.
