Fire destroys garage in Eureka

A garage in Eureka was destroyed during a fire Monday.

The Omro-Rushford Fire Department arrived at 8768 Division St. at 3:30 p.m., the garage was fully engulfed and there was thick black smoke. The garage, which was not attached to the house, was a total loss and no one was hurt, said Fire Chief Jay Treleven.

Firefighters remained on scene until 7 p.m., Treleven said.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

The Berlin and Utica fire departments assisted.
