Live chat: DNR experts discuss endangered resources review 'lottery'

Feb. 13, 2014

Wisconsin officials are planning to hold an online chat at noon on Tuesday on a new program in which property owneres will receive a free assessment of their property for any rare plants or animals.

The new program is a lottery, of sorts, in which the 'winning' property owners can either have a free review of their project to know how to avoid impacts to rare species or a free assessment of their property to determine what rare plants or animals may occur. The assessment is new, but a review normally comes with a fee of $150.

The chat will also cover the Endangered Resources (ER) Review Program, ER Certification program, incidental taking of endangered resources, and more.

You can sign up for a reminder for the chat in the box below.
