Not all Packers training camp fun is on the field
When Green Bay Packers training camp kicks off Saturday, the action won't be limited to players sweating it out on the practice field. There will be all kinds of interactive activities for fans to check out in the Ray Nitschke Field lot on designated days throughout training camp. Among them:
» Chevy Packers Mobile Tour: 6:45-11:30 a.m. Saturday. The tour includes game stations, video reels and a photo booth. Upon having their photo taken, fans will receive instructions on how to print it off.
» American Family Insurance DreamZone: Saturday through Aug. 2. Located inside the Tundra Tailgate Zone, interactive activities for all ages include Football Toss, photo opportunities, Lambeau Leap and community walls (each wall asks a different question and prompts people to write answers).
» Petting zoo: Sunday. Oneida Nation and the Green Bay Wildlife Sanctuary team up for a chance to pet small animals.
» McDonald's Fry Field Goal: Monday. Fans can test their field goal kicking abilities at the Fry Field Goal post for the chance to win prizes.
» Bellin Health Bike Safety Event: 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday: Children will be fitted with a bike helmet and then ride their bikes through a safety course. Representatives from the De Pere and Green Bay police departments will guide children on the course and teach them how to ride safely. Children are encouraged to bring their bicycles.
» Coca-Cola's Share a Coke: 6:45-11:30 a.m. July 31: Fans can create a personalized Coke can from two vending machines that will ask who they will share a Coke with. Fans then enter two names and the ultimate vending machine that looks traditional will pump out cans with the names on it.
» Kemps Moooseum: 10:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Aug. 5. The 53-foot Moooseum showcases Kemps' history, dairy history and how Kemps ice cream is made. The trailer also includes interactive activities and nostalgic memorabilia. Fans can participate in a Packers Football Toss game and sample new Kemps Packers Ice Cream flavors.
» Chili's: Aug. 6. Free carnival-themed event with interactive activities for kids and adults. Fans have the opportunity to win prizes.
