Aaron Rodgers, Danica Patrick take in the natural beauty of New Zealand
If a vacation from winter in Wisconsin sounds mighty good right about now, there's always the option of living vicariously through photos of Aaron Rodgers and Danica Patrick's latest getaway.
Patrick shared photos and a video over the weekend of the couple's adventures in New Zealand. There's lush green, a towering waterfall and blue skies — all things in short supply in Wisconsin at the moment — as the Green Bay Packers quarterback and his retired race car driver girlfriend travel by helicopter.
Patrick also posted photos of them kayaking the waters of Milford Sound. "He took me to the waterfall ... " she teased in the caption, "and did most of the paddling."
Milford Sound, a remote fjord surrounded by steep cliffs and rain forest, is billed as "New Zealand's most stunning natural attraction" and often called one of the most beautiful places on Earth. It's part of Fiordland National Park, which showed up in scenic shots for both "The Hobbit" and "The Lord of the Rings" trilogies.

On Tuesday, she posted a photo of the two of them jumping together into crystal blue waters.
Patrick, who showed off her snow sledding skills in an Instagram post earlier this month, did seem to maybe be thinking of folks back in the Midwest dealing with some brutal winter weather when she encouraged people to get out and enjoy nature. "I know it's really cold in some places ..." she wrote.
(You can say that again. Green Bay is looking at wind chills of 40 below zero or colder this week.)
Patrick and Rodgers traveled together to some far-away places in 2018 as well, including Africa, India, England and Hawaii.
