Remember the Brookfield native living in California who came up with the Green Bay Packers-inspired Winner Green gum?

Count Bill Murray among the celebs he's slipped a pack to.

Neal Dubisky, a diehard Packers fan, introduced his gum last year with the slogan "the flavor of win." It's name is a nod to his lifelong habit of always picking the green player piece in any board game, because it's green like the Packers and good luck. He sold Winner Green last football season and during the playoffs at Woodman's grocery store in Howard.

Its name and color scheme also lends itself to golf courses, which is where he has been concentrating his efforts of late. He handed out the gum at the recent AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am in California and The Honda Classic in Florida. He managed to get some to Murray. The conversation, he said, went like this:

Dubisky: "Hey Bill, try some Winner Green."

Murray: "What's that?"

Dubisky "It's spearmint chewing gum. All the pro jocks chew it."

Murray: "I like gum."

Dubisky said the 64-year-old actor and Chicago native opened the pack, chewed some and then shared it with soldiers in the crowd at Pebble Beach. Dubisky had the chance to get a photo with him on the 18th fairway.

"It was a very special day for me, as I love, just love, Mr. Bill Murray," he said.

Dubisky has also given Winner Green to professional golfers Retief Goosen, Billy Horschel and Stephen Gallacher, sporstcaster Chris Berman, comedian Larry the Cable Guy, actor Josh Duhamel and former NFL quarterback Joe Montana. He's setting his sights on getting some in the hands of Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, perhaps on the links in Tahoe, Calif., and he's already thinking about the PGA Championship at Whistling Straits in August in Kohler.
