The original Blade Runner film left audiences with a lot of questions, and it seems, the characters in the upcoming sequel are also curious.

In the newest Blade Runner 2049 trailer, Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), the star of the 1982, Ridley Scott-directed prequel, warns Ryan Gosling's Officer K about the dangerous conditions he endured.

"I want to ask you some questions," LAPD's Officer K says upon meeting Deckard. "What happened?"

"I covered my tracks, scrambled the records," Deckard explains. "We were being hunted."

In the futuristic trailer, Robin Wright's character is surprised that Officer K could successfully track Deckard down. "That's not possible," she tells him. "If this gets out, we've bought ourselves a war."

We'll see what kind of "war" the sequel offers us. The film also stars Jared Leto, Ana de Armas and Dave Bautista. It opens on Oct. 6.
