Wied to lead mentor training session

Jason Wied, an attorney at Menn Law, will lead a session on small business and law during the next Green Bay Packers Mentor-Protégé Program training camp.

Frank Helquist, Birchwood superintendent of the Educational Foundation of Birchwood Inc., speaks Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2015, at the Green Bay Packers Foundation luncheon at Lambeau Field. The foundation awarded $600,000 in grants to community organizations.

The session is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. March 23 in the Lambeau Field Atrium.

Wied focuses on business and real estate transactions, municipal law, personal injury and sports management law. He was the Packers' general counsel for 11 years and vice president of administration for six years.

A question-and-answer session will follow the presentation, which is open to all businesses.

The Packers Mentor-Protégé Program, in its sixth year, fosters relationships between small businesses and more experienced companies and business professionals to enable economic development and job creation. The program is open to all businesses, but  focuses on minority-, woman-, veteran- and disabled-owned companies.
